I agreed to the ankle monitor to begin at the end of August. I just got an offer for a job in Michigan. I would leave for the job in August and, effectively not come back ever. If I am willing to be done with California for an extended period of time, does the DA have the wiggle room to let me complete the sentence by "banishment" for an extended period of time? I would be willing to report, correspond, test and have results sent, etc. I have been out of work for over 1.5 years. I am a professor and have been given an offer to run a college department in Michigan.
